This store appears to be a chain, they have them in Chicago, Connecticut, Dallas, but no Seattle :( Sheila, if you're reading this, wasn't your friend's daughter who came with us from Portland? Maybe she knows of something there. -
Yeah, she looked but couldn't find anything in her area. Bernice, you may just have to come to the warm and sunny south. :) -
WOW!!! Is this an ongoing thing??? This is LOVELY!!! -
We can always go back, in fact, maybe we will! This was just a one time spontaneous thing, though. -
Miriam (I), I see, but the liquidation thing will not be going on, right? -
Leida - I got the impression that this is a permanent place but the inventory changes frequently as they buy a great deal of hotel close outs. So it's an ever changing inventory. If you're there, you see it, you love it, then you just better get it rigtht now cause it won't be there for long!!! The Liquidation part is just what they do - but always different stuff. -
Susan S, thanx for that info. You are always present!!! -
I think we must travel in the same circles!! Apparently we like a lot of the same things!! -
Susan, YOU R SO VERY RIGHT ABOUT THAT!!! -
I finally finished my project using the granite top from the table I bought there. I had checked with granite yards for remnants, but too expensive- apparently round cuts are not easy. This little top worked perfectly for my bistro table! http://plumdoodles.com/2012/05/31/finding-a-... -

@Leida, yes, Susan is right, it is a permanent place. They are constantly bringing in new inventory. Sheila - I LOVE what you did!! -
Thanks, Miriam! :) -
Go Sheila! -
Good things come to those who wait!! Once we get a certain idea in our heads about what we want to do w/something and how we want it to look - there is no compromising is there?? I get it!! Very pretty vignette - love the hymnal wrapped candlestick and of course the "piece de resistance" is that perfect find for your bistro table top!! PRICELESS ; ~) -
Susan, sometimes I drive myself crazy (hubby says it's a short drive) when I get something in mind and can't make it work. But invariably, if I compromise, I'm never happy with the results. -
Sheila - LOL!! Yeah but you can tell him you might be crazy but it keeps you from going insane!!! Yes, and when we do compromise, especially when we've been looking for that "perfect" thing 4-EV-R, you can just bet that not long after, you'll finally come across "IT" So, if nothing else, we have TENACITY!!! -
how did I miss this??!!!! I so would have went with ya'll !!! even though I'm in New York a road trip would definitely have been in store for me! looks like you had a great time :( but yay for you!! -
Wow, Marg. That would have been quite a road trip! :) -
and then I would shoot down further to Florida and visit family :D -
Ah! Well, if we go again i will make sure you know about it! :) -
And we may tag along for the rest of your trip! :) -
thank you Miriam! and ofcourse you can :) -
My husband and I have been doing some research about furniture liquidation . We recently inherited a piece of furniture that is really valuable. However, we have three young children and a couple of dogs. With that kind of home environment, I'm pretty sure an expensive piece of furniture does not belong in our home! Regrettably however, my husband and I really like the piece, and don't really want to sell it. Would it lose its value to put it into storage? Would it be better to just sell it? -
Taylor, I'm no expert on the matter, but I hardly think a piece of old furniture will loose value over time. On the contrary! -
Taylor, it depends on what the piece is and the condition. Please tell me more so that I can give you information to help with your decision.
