How to Redo a Boring Cake Plate

Last year I bought this glass cake plate. I loved it but then it was so BORING. I was considering getting rid of it when I came up this idea ....
Here is the cake plate I bought last year at a tag sale. I loved it when I bought it but I didn't know what to do with it. It was so colorless.
I painted the base and the top knob of the cake plate with acrylic paint in this awesome color green that I am so in love with right now (okay, maybe not a whole wall of it). :)
In the background you can see the painted tulips on the window. I painted them with acrylic paint also. It comes right off with water so I have to be careful when I wash the windows.
I added a pretty bow for Easter and filled it with Easter grass and colorful plastic eggs. I'm loving it and I intend to make it over for Summer... and Fall... and Christmas, etc.
