Project We Did to Cover the Tree Roots in Our Yard.

Old tires we cleaned and painted, old tricycle painted, an old pot painted. It was hard mowing the grass with so many tree roots right there. A little work and it's beautiful.

That's a good solution as long as you don't have more than 2 to 3 inches of mulch over the roots. More than that can cause problems for the tree.

I love this...particularly the irregular shape...now you don't have to worry about keeping it straight as the kids knock them about! HA! We too have a root problem. I have large pine islands that we put in to use as a place to rake leaves into! We got tired of raking and then hauling them off. Now all we do is blow them into the pine islands.
