Cobalt Glass in Kitchen Window Project

Here is some of my cobalt blue glass on the baker's rack The Welding Man built for me over 15 years ago. I LOVE how it looked displayed in this big window.
In our new home there are no windows situated just right for the baker's rack. So I decorate it seasonally in my dining room. But I really missed that beautiful blue glass all displayed in one place!
So The Welding Man used cedar boards to put shelves in a sunny kitchen window and I loaded it up with scads of cobalt blue glassware. The boards were from a bundle of salvaged fence boards from Lowe's for $15 and we still have some left.
He used old yardsticks as molding on the front of the shelf boards.
They give a bit of vintage vibe to the window shelves and also form a lip so the glassware won't shift off the edge of the shelves.
From the baker's rack in a window over 15 years ago to our sunny kitchen window now, this display of cobalt blue glassware is one of our favorite easy and cheap projects.

Absolutely beautiful! What a wonder idea to display your collection. I collect the ruby...think I'll give this a shot too.
