There are a few people who build with ICF. Some builders use Superior Walls, which is a similar product.

When we plan to build our larger home on our New Mexico land, I'm planning to use Rastra blocks...these are a type of icf. http://www.rastra.com/ Stucco can be applied directly to the forms.

So, ICF is Insulating Concrete Form. It is a normal concrete with insulation in it. How does that work? Does it cost a lot more? Is it worth it?

An ICF is basically over sized strofoam hollow bricks, these are stacked and concrete is poured inside to provide the strength. Rebar is used to strengthen the concrete. When this in completed you have a concrete wall with thick foam on the inside and outside, they are well insulated and can have r values up to 50.

That sounds like a winner. If you're looking for a contractor who works with ICF, Mary Ann, check here: http://concrete.networx.com/#sg=2 I'm from Blue Ridge, and can tell you you'll probably have a tough time finding someone local. Looking around the greater Atlanta area would probably provide more success.
