Has anyone ever used this company before, or know of anyone who has used it? Does it work, and hold up well? Anyone in the Katy/Houston area in particular? Any and all comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Kathy, I'm Berta with Arrowhead Plumbing located in Georgia. I am not familiar with Miracle Method Bathtub Refinishing but have dealt with other bathtub refinishing companies. One problem that we have seen is cracks in tubs. If the tub has cracks the floor underneath must be inspected for water damage, mold and rotten wood. Also, make sure you get a written warranty.

I used these guys as well as a number of my clients. It is not as cheap as some folk might think bu the end result is great. I would not however recommend it for floors. they will do floors but they short the warranty a bit due the increased wear and tear. contact them through the web site...they should be able to provide local references. This is a franchise outfit with local protected markets.

Don't know about this particular company but several years ago we had our tubs refinished with something that was "painted" on. It lasted several years but began to peel off. The best thing to do is to use a company like Rebath. They make a mold of your tub and place it over your old tub. Looks great and lasts.

It is a "painted on" thing that I was looking into. @Carol... I hadn't thought of Rebath. Thanks! I'll check into that also. Thanks for the heads-up about the price KMS! I was actually wondering if it was as 'cheap' as they were saying. lol! Tho, probably still cheaper than putting in a brand new tub, which we don't really need. Just wanted to replace that outdated blue-marble-swirl color to make it fresh and (almost) new again. lol! @Arrowhead... it was cracks I was concerned about. Thanks for the heads-up on that too! Well, I will definitely being doing more research on this. Thanks guys!

Kathy...If I remember right the tub refinish was in the neighbor hood of 600-700. In the case I had done the tub was an older cast iron beast that would have cost about a 1000 to replace. (that is just the tub price. Getting the old one out and a new one in would have been another grand as well...so yes it is cheaper than a swap and the homeowners were super happy with the results. I had this done about 6-7 years ago and have not heard a single bad thing from them.

Thanks KMS! Price is about what I expected; which is not bad at all. It makes me feel better to know someone has used them before and are happy with the result. Thanks again :)

Our friends in Beaumont used it on their 1950s tile. It has held up well for five years.
