Bougainvillea's??

Can I get someone to feed me in on how to care for these beautiful fragile looking flowers? I've never had one, saw them at a market decided to try it since I understand it was a Texas tolerant flower. However, had it less then a month and all it's flowers have fallen off and it's close to death now :-(
I had it in my front yard when the afternoon sun hit it, then I saw it sadly go so I moved it to the back where it can get the morning sun, not as strong. I water it often.
Any help will be helpful, Thank you

There must have been other factors in play, Anna, because bougainvilleas love hot sun. If it's in a pot, perhaps you're actually watering too often. Bougainvilleas prefer things on the dry side and flower best when they are pot-bound. I had bougainvilleas growing around my patio cover in southern CA for years. I agree with the other comments about watering too much. I paid little attention to the plants and they thrived. However, they are truly gorgeous but after they bloom the flowers die on the vine and eventually fall off. I had 3 or 4 vines and it was difficult cleaning out the dead flowers. It would take me hours to clean off the vines and the patio. It was worth it! Good luck.

Thank you all the site that Douglas posted was a big help, and I stopped watering which seem to have been my issues with my bougainvilleas. Then I saw leafs growing and I am assuming that I hadn't killed it. Now we did get a big storm this past weekend, and of course anything outside got very saturated or overwatered so I pray it will be ok. Thank you again for your quick help.
