    Even the most shade-tolerant grass needs at least six hours of direct sun a day, Ann. If you can't provide that, you will do far better with a shade-tolerant ground cover.

    Any suggestions on ground cover, I have the same issues. Is there a ground cover you can still walk on?

    I have used a dwarf mondo grass in my shady areas, and it seems to love those conditions.
