What do you think?

I'm trying to convince my company to get one of these :-) . It's supposed to promote innovative thinking and new ideas. Has anybody seen something like this? Here's a link to the site if anyone wants to see for themselves: http://www.oge-group.com/?portfolio=giant-bi... Have a great weekend everyone!

With incubator light included. Right brain says the idea is a good one,

all it needs is cup holders.

I don't know. When that mama bird comes back, there will be some hell to pay. But put a top on it and maybe its a great area at home for the kids....oh wait, that is a flashback for me.

All kidding aside, I have seen some creativity areas and this is unique. I suspect I would just nap in there.

Hmmm... not sure I could convince any of my customers that I was working on their kitchen design in there... be no motivation to peck my way out of my shell....:)

I have read that getting your mind off work temporarily gets the creative juices flowing. Thus, a quick nap or exercise. Maybe they would go for a small work out area, nicely done of course.

Can you bring your pets to work to help with innovative ideas. I'm sure my dogs would give you ideas with that setup.

Being a musician and an interior decorator, I'd say I have a small degree of creativity. :-) But this thing? I'm sure I would be wondering how to get out of it and can I sit upright to write on a notepad. It looks like others would roll into me, which I wouldn't like so much. In other words, I doubt I'd find it very conducive to innovative thoughts. But it does look like a place to take a nap by myself.

I had the same thought as Inquiring Mind about people rolling into me or sharing a cushion with someone. Haven't worked with too many people I want to get that cozy with.

Ummm ... not crazy about that one. Definitely unique and creative but I think I would use it as a nap area.

Haha. Glad everyone got a good laugh out of this one. I laughed out loud when I read the title and then saw the pictures. They're really trying to sell the 'workplace idea promotion' with the second picture up there. I agree with Steve and Inquiring Mind, there are some people I wouldn't necessarily want to bump into in this thing. Definitely an... interesting idea though.

Being a little OCD, besides all the other things I mentioned early, I'm on the same wave length as Jan B: germy ball pit memories....eeewwww! It would be a bear cat to try to clean!

Oh and, I know the workplace wardrobe has changed in the past several years, but can you imagine a woman who still wears a business suit (skirt not slacks) trying to sit modestly in this thing?!?!? Not gonna happen....and guys, keep your minds out of the gutter....hee hee ;-)

I'm curious what the "nest" is made from. If those are "boards" climbing over them to get inside the fluffy goodness of the pillows seems like a total knee basher...if they are cardboard...how robust are they and will it turn to mush after a week of so of people climbing over them.

@KMS, I was wondering the same thing. It looks like cardboard to me, which is really strange, though perhaps it's 'green' if it's made from recycled materials. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it might be a thick fabric of some sort? Either way, I think we can all agree that the whole thing is pretty odd.
