whice plants are the best to take the sun,I have so much sun in my backyard in the mornning and in the after noon

whice plants are the best for alot of sun and I like them togrow every year I am tierd of planting every spring I like to put them in pots please help

    how about salvia, hosta, dwarf boxwood?

    no hosta,I think they prefer shade.

    Dwarf Grasses such as Yaku Jima, Moudry or Adagio, Purple Diamond Lorpetalum, Drift Roses and maybe if you have a larger pot you could use a Tree Formed Limelight Hydrangea as your focal point of the pot, and plant some low growing perennials around it such as Dianthus, or sedums or Ice plant.

    How about Drift Roses? They require full sun and bloom spring to frost. They are from the Knockout family so they are easy to care for.

    Pentas and lantanas are great. Fun sunny spots, I live in florida, and its hard to keep plants alive, but these ,2 plants.thrive , and they bloom all summer,they also get huge, u will love them
  • Some plants I have in my all afternoon sun garden (100+ in the Summer) ~ Daylily, Marigold, Catmint, Shasta Daisy, Liatris, Red Hot Poker, Iris, Lantana, Bee Balm, Sedum, Love-lies-bleeding, Cosmos, Rosemary, Alyssum, Roses, Geraniums, Statice, Yarrow, Snow in Summer, Lambs Ear, Coreopsis, Sunflowers, Lavender, Catnip, Gaura, Buddleia, Chives, Society garlic , hollyhock, calendula, asparagus fern, African Daisy, Lemon Verbena, Cranesbill, Blue Potato Bush, Mallow, Rose of Sharon, Pittosporum...just to name a few ♥ Have fun! BTW, I'm in zone 9
