(Double Click on Actual Pictures To Get Full View Of Collages) Why spend over $20 for Flower Stands for Containers & Potters in a store, when you simply don't have to. I would normally say look in your local thrift stores and/or garage sales for the stands but to be truthful, previous owners think they are so dirty & rusty, they don't even attempt to sell them, they curbside them & toss them into their garbage. I have picked countless on the sides of the road and I have asked the garage sale sellers and they wouldn't even let me pay for it. And all it took was 2 Cans of RUST-OL-EUM Spray Paint and/or any other Spray Paint Brand that says it works well with Outdoors, metal, wood, plastic....etc. I've even spray painted the flower containers that you purchase your hanging plants from.....choose any color you like and they look like brand new container!!! Here are just some pics of the 3 latest Flower Garden Decor Stands that I just recently & very easily and quickly worked on. And I all I did was Wash them done with a sponge, scrub brush (which took off any lifting rust and then hosed all the soap off with a garden hose. Let it dry for a day. The next day, I spray painted each of the planters with one top coat. After a few hours, I gave it a second coat. The following day once it was completely dry, I turned the planters upside down and repeated the process for the underside & bottom of the planter, as well as inside legs. Allow one day to dry......& Waaa'la, you have yourself 3 Brand New Flower stands and/or Garden decor for only 2-3 spray paint cans of your colored choice! (P.S. Also works on plastic Window Boxes....Covers, the green, Burgendy & white!) Enjoy! Hope You'll Try It! :)

Hi Liz, I usually move my indoor plant stands outside when they lose their "feet" and start scratching my floors. Then they become saucer holders for bird baths or simply outdoor planters since I can push the legs into the dirt so they don't topple. Do you have an idea for new "feet" that may help me keep them inside a little longer?
  • I was just about to throw out a rusty plant stand and you've inspired me to just paint it!!! xo
