Although my kitchen looks functional it was not!

Although my kitchen looks functional it was not. The builder installed they were all breaking and due to layout only 3 cupboards really functioned. Also you can't see but to the left of peninsula was a pantry closet that inhibited flow. We spent 8 years trying to make the kitchen function. This year we pulled the trigger! Only solution was to rip it out!

Step one remove pantry.

Step two everything else!

Steps 3 through 100. Install new kitchen.

My finishing touch!!

We are in love the Island works so much better for my family. Ample cupboard space and functional flow.

We installed a wall pantry. Also an appliance garage for the microwave. We have way more storage space with the wall pantry than the closet pantry which was just a deep trench of disorganized chaos. Kids could also not reach half of the shelves.

may I ask.... what kind and color is your counter top? not the island which is also great looking. I love your reno..... and your style. these are the same style cabinets as I am planning to use. all in all just loverly!

and ...what exhaust fan did you use over the stove? I am looking for one that moves lots of air without sounding as if there is a jet landing in my kitchen. thanks.

did you rework the cabinets or are these all new? What was the approx cost?

  @Victoria in the same place as before.... it hides a bit because the cabinets are also white now.

  @J Exactly! My design was focused around having white appliances. I felt that stainless is so over done and there are always fingerprints.

This is beautiful! My kitchen is designed exactly like your old one. Looks like it would be very functional, but several of the cabinets are next to impossible to actually use without crawling in here or climbing up there. Congratulations on a job well done!!
