Decks & Patios Outdoor Living

The spring view of the path to our backyard patio at home. The large dogwoods define the space in the spring.

Wanted to share a photo of my own backyard garden as it looks today. I finally was home at the right time of evening, with a non-cloudy sky, in order to take a few photos. This is the view each visitor to our home sees as they head to our backyard patio.

We love this space also. From the day we first saw this house, I knew what I wanted to do with the area. The sloped hill behind the patio was perfect for the waterfall and pond, which you can barely make out if you look at the hill, just to the right of the Japanese Maple. We have the waterfall and pond, and a firepit on the far side of the space.

And I have to be honest, although there is no grass in the backyard anymore, there is still ...»

plenty of zoysia on the front part of the property to enjoy. Even after removing areas of lawn, there is still around 11,000 square feet of Meyer's Zoysia.

Love it! So serene and tranquil!. I'm certain that if you sit on your bench at sunrise you will catch a glimpse of a unicorn strolling bashfully down the path! You must to be very still and very quiet...
