Vintage Enamelware Floral Arrangements.

I don't know about you, but I think that pre-made floral arrangements are pretty pricey. And usually they come in mass produced, slightly tacky containers. I much prefer creating my own arrangements in interesting re-purposed vintage containers.
So when I found a set of old enamelware coffee cups and saucers at a garage sale, I snatched them up knowing I could use them later to make floral arrangements for my co-workers.
I went to my local flower shop (Bachman's) and decided on a color scheme based on what they had available. In this case I went with a subtle combo of pale roses, tiny white mums, and green euphorbia.
I went home and gathered the rest of my supplies, some floral foam and some cute chalkboard picks from Hobby Lobby.
It was easy to cut the foam to fit in my cups. I just pressed the cup into the foam to create an outline ...
and then cut it with a kitchen knife ...
By the way, with fresh flowers be sure you are using the 'wet foam'. The next step is to just arrange the flowers to your liking. I then added personalized chalkboard picks to each arrangement.
And I ended up with some darling floral arrangements without breaking the bank.
My co-workers loved them!
