    The University of Florida Cooperative Extension Service is pretty bullish on the Chinese jujube (Zizyphus jujube) because of its freedom from pests, tolerance for poor soils, ornamental growth habit and precocity of fruiting, among other things, but I have never seen one offered in a nursery here.
