I thought it was too casual, but I had to make it work. I actually like the result because it is more welcoming.

Love french country furniture- you did a great job making it work! The sideboard is a great pop of color.

Sometimes its nice to have furniture that can be dressed up or down - it makes it flexible like a pair of khaki's. It brings out ones creative side when decorating! The 2 unique tall lamps are what really brings this room together - very nice!

It does have a country french flair; while it's a casual feel, a nice family dinner would still feel completely comfortable in this room!

Casual can (and should) be elegant! Absolutely!!!! We see a lot of very formal dining rooms in Atlanta.
