HAS ANYONE SEEN THE VIDEO BECK TO EDEN?

I would like to recommend you watch this video if you are into gardening. I cannot testify whether or not it works, becuase I am just beginning the process, of preparing an area for this gardening technique. But it makes lots of since. This guy will throw out some bible scriptures, but regardless of your sprital beliefs, he found an ingenius gardening technique, based on nature, no till, no digging, low maintenance.

I didn't watch the film, Phil, but I did look over the"How-To"s and there are many valuable horticultural practices there, which have often been advocated right here on Hometalk. I think he might get some argument on the idea of applying a foot of wood chips to an orchard, however.

Thanks for the answers, but I'm still hoping for more ideas.

Thanks Doug. Thank you, for taking time to check it out and respond. I have only 2 apple trees at this point, and I do put much around them along with all my crape myrtle, blue berries, Butterfly bushes, Asparagus, everything but my vegetables. Which really has me thinking, It does works for everything else, why not my vegetable garden. ...»

I have row crops, I have 4x4 boxes, using square foot gardening techniques and soil. I have 12" x8" x16' long boxes using container techniques, I have vertical garden for strawberries, I hydroponics, and permanent in ground planting,

This will be one more technique I will try

Sherrie, I am sorry I didn't see you comment until now, I myself ws looking for the link to watch the video again. When I searched you tube, I found hundreds of videos on back to eden gardening. Apparently it is becoming popular. I am getting ready to start a small area about 20x20 to do a trial garden. I have been putting it off, since I am working with traditional farmers, who have embarred me into not pursuing this techique. But aftr another year of row gardening and not being able ...»
to keep up with the weeds, which out grow, all my vegtables. I am frustrated enough to to begin my own garden area using this techique. I hope your able to see this very late response.

Here is the link for the film http://backtoedenfilm.com/ And Yo tube has so many videos from so many different people, from rual to urban gardeners.

The one thing I have noticed, is that even though the concept is the same there are many variations of this techique.

    Best of luck, Phil

I try to keep my 2 acres as natural as possible so I can attract the wildlife & I have been successful with that. Today I try to save a crepe myrtle from a ton of bugs. I'm going to try vinegar, water & dish soap first. We'll see how that works soon. I enjoyed the video, thank you.
