I removed all the LP siding on my house and replaced with Hardie board siding, caulked and painted.

Prior to replacing the siding I was able to seal exterior with foam and Tyvek.

Hooray Hardie board! That looks really great, Greg! You'll be loving this stuff for years : ) Good call on the Tyvek as well!

I used Sherwin Wiliams 25 year semigloss paint and applied it with a sprayer rented from Home Depot

...very nice work. How many people for how many days?

I sounds like you used Sherwin Williams Super Paint and for $350 more you could have use Duration for a much longer lasting paint finish. If your neighbors (probably having the same siding issues) aren't as handy as you are, have them visit www.progroupsidingandwindows.com ...»

. The $13K sounds like a Champion or Duracraft estimate. We are much, much less.

He's right...always use Duration especially on hardiplank. Super Paint is a good product but you want a thick paint and one that can take the constant expanding & contracting that will occur to a finish on hardiplank. Awesome job and though...and smart to remember the housewrap...alot of homeowners skip that step. Duration is best hand applied which is how we do it.

It is....so much so that we offer a full lifetime warranty on our installs...fully transferable. I have heard of a few lamination problems here & there but we've never had any problems.
