From Wine Rack to Ribbon "Cradle"- Easy, Thrifty Craft Room Storage

2 Materials
Easy
A plain-Jane wicker wine bottle holder from the thrift store is the perfect "cradle" to store and organize spools of craft ribbon! Please check out the full, original blog post for all the details!
When I saw this wicker wine rack in the thrift store, I had a crafting hypothesis that I wanted to test...
Would it hold my spools of craft ribbon???
It did- quite perfectly, in fact! So I gave it a quick spray paint job (to seal out it's previous life)...
And added a secret "seatbelt" to keep the spools in place, while allowing them to turn! The perfect utilitarian storage piece in my craft room.
Find all the details (including the "seatbelt") in my original post!

Super upcycle, in my opinion. Your "secret seatbelt" is the best part. I like the idea of S hooks on the side for scissors as one of your readers added. Have you done anything on the top yet? That's a frame begging for a shelf and a purpose.
