The temperature is dropping to 34 tonight. Do I need to cover my plants?

Not right at dawn, Lin, because temperatures can be at their coldest then, but as soon as things start to warm up.

I think it's important to know the microclimate of your yard. If temperatures are predicted to be 34, but you live in a spot that is always cooler, you would definitely need to cover. On the other hand, if your plants are against a south wall, you probably wouldn't need to.
