Someone I know posted this on facebook and I just had to share. This is a wall decal hanging in the kitchen. You can find them here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/urbanwalls
You can also use a Cricut. It cuts the vinyl you get at the craft stores. You can cut it whatever size you want. However, for that much lettering, I'd buy it already on the sheets that you press and peel. Lovely!
I don't think this is real either. Nice idea. Need better, more decorative font and less blatent color than black. Could stencil with word and then paint on. Would be quite a job unless you have a very large format printer. I have a printer 24" wide that would work well.
The font style & color is perfect for the style of that home. Most decal companies will do custom fonts and sayings and have many vinyl color choices. The great thing about the decals is that when you want a change, you can remove them without having to repaint.
I am a writer, so I love words, especially on walls! I wrote a poem for my now 10 year old son when I was pregnant with him and hand painted it near the ceiling around the whole nursery. We've lived in four different homes since he was born, and I've hand painted that poem in each of his rooms. In our current home I decided to go the vinyl route and printed out the poem in a nice font and then, believe it or not, cut each letter and punctuation (411 characters total) from the vinyl by

hand. The poem is now on the shared wall between my son and daughter's rooms. It was a labor of love, but so worth it when I catch one of them standing at the wall reading the poem. :-)
At Project Style's office our wall saying is "Dog Hair Goes With Everything." We purchased it from Wall Words in a curly-q font. We often design and use custom decals in our baby nursery projects! It's a fun way to personalize a space.
For a smaller, framed one (say 8x10) you can use any word processing program or graphics program like Photoshop and make your own. I make them for friends and family. Seasonal, playroom rules, etc., can be changed out anytime and the unused ones stored right in the frame. Colors, fonts, etc., whatever you want. Subway Art, it's all the rage right now.
You can have this made at any place that does vinyl signs. They can put the letters on "peel back" paper. You start at the top, and smooth it slowly, just like putting stickers on a car.
I have a candid photo collage of the faces of my children laughing and smiling starting when they were small andmore added as they grew...I added the grandchildren and the quote (which is my signature saying/mantra):
We love this and posted it on our HOT DECOR! Board on our pinterest site - it was a huge hit -lots of repinning all day today! Thanks for sharing Miriam! : )
However, I feel like I would prefer to write my own words on my wall. There is a website I saw that allows you to create your own lettering wall decals, you can choose your fonts, colors and size and customize it however you wish.
