Isn't that sweet?! Made from a wire hanger & things I had around the house. Fast & fun project.
All the details...burlap ribbon, a linen strip, a tassel from an old shelf & a shell.
This is what you will need to make the heart. Then add what you love to embellish it. A hanger, wire cutters, needle nose pliers, 90 inches of fabric about 2.5 inches wide, embellishments.
Start with a hanger. Untwist it & shape it .
Bend the hanger in half leaving the rounded bit ( the part that would go over the rod) as extra.
Hold the two sides of your heart together to check for symmetry. Does it have to be perfect!
Put two sides together but do not twist yet as you need to slide on the fabric. Cut off the extra hook with your wire cutters leaving about 1inch. This inch will be used to create a loop for hanging.
Top cut off.
Prepare your fabric. Lay it out & fold in half lengthwise. You may need to iron ( I know, yuk! ). Sew a seam so the fabric is now about 1 inch wide.
Thread the wire through the fabric. Scrunch & shirr it as you go.
Twist the hanger ends together using your fingers & pliers. Bend the extra inch of wire up to form a loop & secure it with a twist.
Decorate it and add twine or ribbon in order to hang it from your door, bed post, chair, door knob, hook or wherever you need a little eye candy.

This is so adorable, and I really love the scallop shell where the two sides meet. It tops it all off!
