A Sweet and Simple Tea Party Birthday

When I found out that I was going to be the mother of a little girl one of the first things that popped in my head was "YES! Tea parties!" And her fourth birthday became the perfect opportunity to turn that dream into a reality. It was so much fun to plan and really quite simple to execute. I made a rose-covered number 4 out of foam and hung it on the front door to greet all the guests. Quilts became tablecloths and teapots, teacups and other frilly things were gathered from around the house to use as decor. Edible teacups were a huge hit with the little girls and cupcakes in teacups took the place of a traditional cake. It was such a fun day for my precious girl...and for me too! ~Vanessa
Pretty paper plates were perfect for young guests and teapots and fresh flowers make lovely decor.
Edible teacups filled with candy were a hit!
I cut out the number 4 from a piece of foam and covered it with pink roses.
The girls sat outside under the trees and a quilt made the perfect tablecoth.
