Painted Pallet Boards on a Square Planter

After recycling pallet boards for round black planters, we painted some and used them on our square planter.
This planter was originally just white. I figured if pallet boards could dress up plain black planters, why not this square one?
Originally it was just white. I primered it and painted it the same turquoise blue as the trim on our house.
I dry brushed the blue paint on pallet boards cut to size then used a brad nailer to attach them to the planter. We did it in place, no need to move the heavy planter to the shop!
I LOVE the aged and vintage vibe these pallet board planter covers give to our garden! So inexpensive and very easy to do! For more info and photos, check out my blog post.
Suggested materials:
  • Pallet boards   (recycle center)
  • Square planter   (my own garden)
  • Outdoor acrylic latex paint   (leftover from house)

Kudos! Will do the same with large shrub moved to new home that has taken root so I won't have to move it!
