Personalized Wine Bottles #DIYmothersday

My mom (like me) likes wine. She is difficult to shop for. She doesn't like clothes, jewelry, or spa treatments. So it took me awhile to come up with a good Mother's Day gift for her but here it is....
Personalizing wine bottles is way easier than I ever knew. I should have been gifting these since the day I turned 21. Christmas, birthdays, wedding favors, bridesmaids gifts - the company I keep all like their wine!
Start by taking the label off the bottle you want to personalize. Most labels these days are stickers and peel off pretty easily. If not - you'll need to soak them off. I got lucky and did not have to soak my bottle.
The labels I used came with a website that has a few dozen templates to choose from that make it super easy to design your own label. You can choose a blank slate as well. I wanted to include a picture of my kids since outside of wine that is my mom's greatest love.
Within about 10 minutes I designed and printed these labels following simple instructions that came with the labels. The labels adhere like stickers - smooth out the lumps and bumps with a credit card.

Mine said "For all I did 20 years ago, I give you wine and grandkids. Xx". You don't want to know what I did when I was a teenager My mom deserves more than wine to make up for the misery I caused her :)
If you like this idea I link you to the exact labels I used on my blog. The project is in the DIY Craft section.
