Do you love the look of those fresh boxwood wreaths but have sticker shock every time you see them in the stores? I do, so I decided to get creative and make my own boxwood wreath for about $5 bucks! With a few supplies you too can create 'faux' boxwood wall art. I love how this project turned out and the best part is that it can be tweeked to your liking with different flowers and stensiled designs. You can find more pictures and the full tutorial on my blog:http://decoratedchaos.blogspot.com/2013/05/faux-boxwood-wreath-wall-art.html
Here is the finished piece with the word "LOVE" stensiled with a heart.
Take greenery, preferrably the kind that is on a chain, and wrap it around a heart wreath form. I used a twig reath form I purchased at the GW for less than $1.
I chose greenery with the color and shape that resembled boxwood since that was the look I was going for. However YOU can use ANY kind of greenery you like for whatever look you like!
Then attach your heart wreath to bead board with those peel and stick hooks from the hardware store or WM then finish it off with a stensiled design or words like I did with the word "LOVE" and a heart. (see pic above)
