Patriotic Chair Decor

I love to take old chairs, that are not stable enough for use, and turn them in to decor pieces. Since it's summer, I gave this chair a little patriotic flavor with red, white and blue. If you'd like to see more of my work I have a Facebook page: Carol's Paint Creations.
I was given this old chair which is quite wobbly so I scrubbed it up and used CeCe Caldwell's Montana Blue Sky on the base and back.
Then I free-handed some waves with Annie Sloan's Old Ochre and Emperor's Silk. I love chalk paint no sanding or priming needed!
I then took my palm sander to it and heavily distressed it and used a sanding block for the tight spots.
I glazed it with Valspar's Antiquing Glaze and sealed it with Annie Sloan's Clear Wax.
I wanted it appear aged like a battle weary flag.
