    nope...but you really should pick off the flowers this season so it makes good roots for next year.

    That said, lots of gardeners plant strawberries in spring, harvest what they can in June, and see what survives the summer.

    Yamini, in Florida it should have been done long ago but we sometimes tried it late in spring and it worked. Give it a try as it might work in your area. Wait for Douglas H to give you the best answers.
