You Will Not Recognize Them After Makeover!

Many people know I love working with antique furniture, so when they want to get rid of something useless, offer it to me! This is the case of this pair of nightstands. I brought them home, but I didnt really like the style. And couldnt even think of anything interesting to paint on them
So this time I decided to do something different...
I took off legs and tried one over the other, and I liked the way they looked...
Sanded completely to bare wood. Now they look different! And I am starting to get fond of them! The symmetry and so many straight lines in its design suggested they were appropiate for an industrial style.
Once again, I used cardboard painted black and with graphite patina to simulate metal edges.
screwed them to selected parts of the pieces.
For the front door, I wanted to simulate again: drawers. These are just rectangles of thin wood which I glued to door. Added pulls
And different pulls for the "real" drawers.
Wheels at the bottom, and we are almost ready...
Placed one over the other and fixed with screwws and covered the junction with another piece of black cardboard.
And here it is!
I bet nobody can imagine they were two old nightstands!
Thanks to suggestions and help of Jo, a reader of Hometalk that contacted me by mail, I could add a gadget to my blog to translate it. So now you can read it in English!

Wondering how the cardboard stands up to moisture in a bathroom. I absolutely love that you keep the wood natural and didn't paint over it. How I wish I had space for something like this in my bathroom, beautiful.

Absolutely one of my favorite projects. Sorry if this is a dumb question but, what is graphite and where do you get it?
