Repurposed Garden Statuary

Normally, this little cherub sits in the garden. It gets put away every winter because the extreme temps can make resin brittle. This year when I brought it back out I decided to take it in and use it indoors instead.
Bringing the garden in!
I cleaned it back up and decided to make a small table out of it. I used three different size drill bits starting with a small pilot hole. Resin breaks easily...
Tools I used.
I carefully drilled a hole in the top of the head and in the top of both wings. Then graduated up to the next two drill bit sizes to get the hole size needed for suction cups. (I keep suction cups of all sizes picked up usually from after Christmas clearance sales!)
Hot glued in the suction cups.
Waited for glue to cool and set up in the statue.
Hanging out in the garden room.
I added a glass table top pick up at Wal-Mart in the Home Decor dept. for $8.00. Finished!!!

I have this exact same cherub and it has the glass top on it. I think it was originally suppose to be this way. Did you get yours at a yard sale? Maybe the glass had broken and they took the suction cups off?
