I need DIY ideas skylight window treatment

I am looking for a simple and cheap way to make a close-able shade for our sky light. Any ideas out there?

Just for a summer/sun/heat fix, I used two tension rods and looped fabric over. You can't open and close, but our room doesn't become an oven.

I made a curtain from a sheer curtain and tension rods. I made the curtain pretty full, it lets in light, but restricts the heat. I leave it up year round. I used peach color in my bath and white in my kitchen. I love it.
