How to Create a Living Wreath

Create a living wreath to hang on your gate or fence to welcome guests.
I gathered supplies I needed for the wreath. Some moss, waxed string or wire, a 12" wreath form, 9 Impatiens, garden gloves, scissors.
I tied the string to the wreath form leaving a 6" tail to use at the end of the wreath.
I wrapped some moistened moss under the wreath form and placed a plant in the wreath. I placed more moss around the plants side and top and used moss to fill in next to the plant. Then I wound the string over the sides of the plant to hold it in.
Be careful to not damage your plants as you wind the string around.
Here I have three plants in the wreath. Take your time to get the spacing correct. Use moss in between the plants to add spacing.
Is it finished? I used eight plants as one wasn't the right colour for the project.
Look on the back of the wreath and add more moss if needed. Here you can still see the wreath form. Use string to secure the moss. Add moss wherever it is needed.
Place your completed wreath on a flat surface for a couple of days to let the plants settle. Add some wire or an 'S' hook to hang it up.
You can also add a candle to the center of the wreath and use it on a table. Protect your table by using a plant saucer under your wreath. Water wreath every day by laying it in an upside down trash can lid full of water. For more details please check out the link below.

Really lovely & well done! Does it hold up well in windy conditions? I would imagine, once established, the roots hold it all in place, right?
