This is so beautiful, I put the purple on my desktop background. Thank you! Replacing my cat and little garden! But this is so pretty!

The Rhodies are starting to bloom now. We had such a warm March that everything got sped up!

Gorgeous! I have white Rhodies blooming. It may sound crazy but I think it changed color. I could have sworn they were pink years before. I love Columbine. Is it too late to plant them now? (if I can find them) They are perennials, right?

Teresa, yes, columbines are perennials. You can certainly plant them now.

I love Columbine too and they come up every year and bloom there little heads off. I don't think I can grow Rhododendrums here in So. Ca. It gets hot here in the summer. In the high 90s and 100s. I did see one in a nursery one time and it was huge and beautiful. The nursery owner said it needed a lot of care to survive our summers. I'm glad the Columbines grow sp well here. I grew some new ones last year by seeding directly in the ground and the some came up nicely.

We have to be careful with the rhodies here too Irene. With the correct placement and soil we do pretty good though.

I have seen them for sale around here once or twice. I guess I'll have a look around and find out what they need to survive. They have such pretty flowers.
