Custom Furniture Pieces: Which is your favorite?

Many spaces we design include custom furniture pieces. Whether it's a piece for special storage, or built to suit a unique need - these pieces are not items you can walk into a store and buy! They are custom down to the tiniest detail, and the client can be as specific or as hands-off as they choose in their design.

Which of these is your favorite? What would you change if it was in your home?

Steve, we agree and rarely use frosted glass (love seeded glass or etched glass better) However, many people like the idea of glass to breakup their wood, but really don't want to show off what's in their cabinets. They either don't have nice or cohesive collections or they don't want to keep the cabinets neat & organized! This we understand!

Glad the sage is getting great feedback. We love this one too! The homeowner is the one who ...»

made the wood countertop and we worked with him to design the piece for it to fit!

Sage has my vote as well!! All are very nice but that one just has some special appeal.

I agree w/Steve about the frosted glass. It detracts rather than inhances the beauty of the cabinet - seeded or a little bit of etching would have been prettier. But . . . . at the end of the day - the customer is always right (except for when they're not!! LOL)

I like the sage one as well...but for me, not in sage (just personal taste). Sorry, but the brick backsplash on the bedroom built-ins really takes away from the cabinetry - I would have left that out. All the cabinetry is very nice.

I LOVE the sage!!! I have a lovely built in that I'd die to get fewer faced along with the cabanets! I don't like brown AT ALL, I like PAINTED wood. Of course our house was remodeled with expensive brown cabanets I don't like!

Fortunately painting existing cabinets is a great option, Bekah! If you need some tips or advice on mixing wood and paint along with your existing elements let us know!

Thank you!!!!! The cabinets the previous owners put in are wood but they have a REALLY glossy texture, so I'm not sure how they could be painted...
