34" would equate to really small doors. Do you have wall room to one side of the opening? You could do a single door and have it sliding. See picture below. While this shows a mirrored door, take notice of the sliding mechanism at the top.
Im not sure where you would go in your area to get the door. It would be best to get one slightly larger in width and height to cover the opening all together.
Thanks BeckySue. There is not enough room for a sliding door on either side of the opening. About 16" on the right it angles out about 120 degrees and does a similar thing about 20" on the left so I had to rule out the sliding (and pocket) door ideas.
ahh too bad. Tough decision ahead of you.. but Id like to encourage you to think it through. More often than not, folks find small french doors like that a PIA. I will be removing a pair in a near future remodel, their major complaint was that the catching/locking mechanism to keep them closed is nosey and annoying to push/pull. On the other side, I find most dislike have the little doors .. time consuming to open/close.
This may work for you. There is always the option to have a custom made door for you which will probably double the cost of the material plus your labor , drywall, painting, etc.

The link AK posted has 15" by 96" that could be cut down and used as a "pair" in a french double type configuration...but building and installing a custom "jamb" assembly to hand this pair may put your cost up above a truly custom "pre-hung". Most "paint" grade louver doors are pine, the so the cost of the Mahogany above may not be needed. Framing the opening down to take a stand 80" high door may help too.
I've decided to hold off until the new bathtub, counter and fixtures are installed. At present I am considering the idea of "Framing the opening down" or using curtains (again) only this time with a valance. I plan to post a picture once it's done. Thank you all for your suggestions!
