I fell in love with these chunky candle holders on http://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2011/02/pillars.html. I followed the tutorial on this website, but decided to put my own twist on them and add something unique to each one. They simply are a 4x4 cut to your desired size glued to 3 pallet boards cut to size to make a base and top. Pallets are free and the 4x4 is about $10... the cost per candle depends on how tall you make them. I made a bunch of them for Christmas gifts. They were a hit.
