Take a leaf and crush it between you finger and thumb. If it smells like Lemon Pledge, it's lemon balm. If it smells like mint, it's mint. both have a square stem and can be itchy when working with them.

Some type of mint. Crush the leaves, if it's spearmint or perpermint you can smell it. If your cat likes it then it's probably catmint.

Cat Mint, I have tons of it. Has a purple flower and the butterflies and hummingbirds love it. Not to be confused with catnip.

It is definately one of the mint family, but they are all so similar without smelling them it's hard to say, but I have Spearmint, Peppermint, catmint and Lemon balm and it's definately not LemonBalm, but it could be any one of the other three....

The smells are very distinct, pinch one of the leaves and rub it between your fingers, then smell it and ask yourself, Peppermint? Spearmint? or Catmint?
