Lampshade Turned Mad,..hatter That Is

Wanted to have a subtle "Alice in Wonderland" theme and was able to come up with this idea after finding an old lampshade in my garage. It was just waiting for me to find it again. I then went on a search for an antique lamp base. Some yarn and another piece of a broken lampshade and voila'. Mad Hatter floor lamp

Do you gif out the directions for making this shade? I am trying to make one for a fund raiser in Newport Oregon for a women's shelter. We are having an Alice in Wonderland tea party and this would be so cute and raise a lot of money for us. Thanks for your help, Dawn

Hi Dawn the shade was relatively easy, I just wrapped it with yarn. I went around each support and continued to pull it tight. There's this post http://www.hgtv.com/shows/danmade/how-tos/how-to-make-a-yarn-lampshade and instead of going vertically I went horizontally. I'm sorry I was winging it when I made this. Hope this helps you. Also read the previous comments to see how the rim was made. Some have made improvements
