Camp Stools Aren't Just For Camping Anymore

With the whole glamping thing being so hot the last few years, I just had to update my tired, worn out camp stool to give it a fancier look. The fabric was so old that it was almost a safety issue anyhow, so using a painter's dropcloth and a little paint I gave it a faux grain sack look. Much cuter and much sturdier than the original seat fabric.
If you want the paint to be more permanent and weather resistant you could add a textile additive to the paint (sold at Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's and Michael's).
. . . to this
Took a basic camp stool from this ....
I used painter's dropcloth, taped off stripe areas and painted with craft paint to give it the faux grain sack look.
Berries are just for looks.

It's even sturdier than I was remembering this morning! I got to thinking about it and remembered I just cut the leg long enough... then flattened it with the double seam to the top...then just folded the ends under and used upholstery tacks to attach it to the underside of the frame on either side. I'll do about anything to keep from having to do some sewing...tacks, staples, 90 mph tape....anything but hemming!!
