Many people have been asking "what is difference between ASCP and CeCe Caldwell's Mineral Clay Paints"? Here's just one:

The labels - The ingredients are listed on CeCe Caldwell's cans. It's simple to read and understand. There is a very long paragraph of Cautions on the AS can but no ingredient list. I've asked a few AS sellers what the ingredients are but I get circuitous responses. I don't think they know. I love AS paints - I feel much more comfortable knowing what's in the paint I use on my furniture and sell to my customers.

They are not required to print the ingredients on the can. But they ARE required to provide the material data safety sheets upon request. There are so many NO VOC products on the market that must comply to strict environmental and safety standards. LOW VOC labels are a bit ambiguous. The waxes are definitely NOT low VOC.

Not sure why all of the hype about AS. There are so many products on the market that will do ...»

the same things AND offer a full range of color choices at a more reasonable price. A good example is Caromal Colours. I think it is because of the "no priming" claim.

Exactly - My point is that even though it's not required CeCe Caldwell has the ingredients printed on the label. It is a safe product, less expensive and gives excellent results. Priming is not necessary - that was counter intuitive for me but once I did it a few times.....I paint all kinds of things with it. Plastic, glass, chrome, you name it...

They were about the same price maybe a few dollars less. I was glad I could buy something local but was not happy about the price as I thought CCC Paint would much cheaper.

@ChairCycle Where did you buy your paint? On-line it's $32.95 - no tax. Retailers set their own price for in store sales.

You got me sold on CeCe Coldwell's. I just ordered a try me size of paint and both the clear and dark wax. Can't wait to try it. Does the wax last for a long period of time? Of course, if I like the products, I'll be wanting to paint everything that can't run from me.

Thank you for your order Pam, I saw it this morning - it's packed and ready to go first thing in the morning! Yes, the wax is long lasting and durable, you can add more as time goes on if you think it needs it. I know you will love it and become addicted just like I did. Here's what I'm working on now. It will be a blackboard with an Alaskan Tundra Green frame hung above a nice french provincial desk I picked up at Habitat for Humanity.
