Cement can crack if not done correctly. And depending on type of inground pool may make it hard to do some types of repairs if needed.
pavers can catch debris in the cracks between the stones and make it hard to prevent cleaning of patio as a lot of debris ends up in pool. Also if not done correctly the pavers can shift and create toe stubbing when the kids run around the edge.
What I am working on now and I will post photos tonight is a pool with stamped cement. . Looks great, easy to keep clean, properly pitched so water does not run into the pool when it rains.
You do have some freeze thaw cycles in Ga. So its critical regardless of what method or system you use that it be properly installed.
