Front step help needed

I need to do something with my front step. I don't want to paint as we might be building a porch over it. Do you think power washing will get rid of the layers of paint?

Power washing may get most of the paint off! After you clean it up, get some outdoor tiles and put those on. Otherwise painting is the easiest and cheapest.

Personally I would cover the porch with a contrasting outdoor slate or stone to compliment your home. Just make sure what ever you purchase will be non slip.

You can loosen that existing paint with a wire brush and then power wash it. You can paint or use concrete stain over the clean, dried steps and eventually replace or build over it. Edge the sidewalk and clean up the grassy area around the entry and enjoy your update!
