It goes very well with the rest of the dining room. I've always loved this style of valance, but have no formal areas in my home. Do you think with a different fabric, this style would work as a less formal treatment? -
Absolutely! This valance style is a favorite of many of our clients. The fabric makes a world of difference in the formality, as does the style of trim. In this room we used a beaded tassel; a small cord would have a much less formal effect. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the medallion is carved. A more simple medallion would be less formal also. -
very nice can't say much for the dinning room set tho -
sometimes we have to work with existing furnishings!
