Summer Foot Wash Station

In the summer bare feet rule; and those little feet can get big time dirty. I made up this sweet foot wash station for my kiddos to use before they come back in the house. I want them to enjoy nature; I just want nature to stay outside my door! All you need is a basin, soap, scrub brush and towel... a chair is nice too! Something about being outside and washing makes them actually WANT to clean up!
Foot Washing Station? Yes, please!
I headed to the 99 Store for some soap and a brush.
A sign reminds everyone to wash up!
I found this basin for $25 at the Alameda Flea Market.

They do not take their shoes off at the door, and I really wish I would have started that habit from the time they were born! Love the boot scraper idea, Larose!

Oops I spoke too soon! My 24 year old son came home this afternoon from doing a lasertag party wearing his combat boots and he was covered in mud because he fell down and of course his boots were covered in dried mud.So guess who forgot to scrape his boots before he came inside to have lunch? He left small pieces of dried mud all over the house. His response when I brought this to his attention " My Bad! But Mom didn't you say that your favorite purchase of the year was the small broom and stand up dustpan?" Problem averted.Ok so he isn't perfect! Gotta love em'
