With moving season season here, you want to get the most bang for your buck. Well get your full deposit back when you clean your apartment yourself.
Check the Cleaning Policy
First find out how well you have to clean. If every thing needs a simple wipe down and vacuuming do just that. If they want a full scrub down, make sure you are prepared with the proper cleaning tools and solutions.
Clean the Details
Start by cleaning from top to bottom, dusting the ceiling corners to the baseboards. Take time to focus on the little details like the light switches, grout lines, handles, doors ect.
Clean Smarter Not Harder
Let the big projects like the tub, oven and fridge soak while cleaning the easier chores. Allowing proper time for cleaning solutions to work means less time spend scrubbing.

Good list. I know I always left my apartments cleaner than they were when I moved in. We always took down shower curtain that came with college apartment, put it away and put up a cheap one. At end of year we tossed it and put the original back up.
