Does anyone know what this plant is called?

I have it in my garden here in South Florida. It is a bulb. I am new to gardening and do not know the name.

Without being there and really examining - it appears to be a crocus species.

Google Atamasco Rain Lily. It is a native Florida plant.

it is from the lily family,,, there are so many kind of lilies that it would be hard to pinpoint without seeing it in person,, i would pick one and take it to the nearest nursery for exact help

it's a Rain Lily. I have lots of them in my yard. Dug up a whole crate full of them last year and I must have let alot of the tiny bulbs in the ground as I have as many now as I had before I dug. They really multilpy fast. Love them tho'.

I used to live in Tampa where my yard was full of these beautiful flowers. They looked like dainty lilies with leaves like long thick grass as shown in the picture. They're ethereal & fragile looking but never knew their name.

Vicki R., Tampa is still full of them; I'm in Tampa and have plenty. We call them Rain Lilies. Sorry, don't know the scientific name.

I grew some of those in Ca Bay Area but they only grew when the ground was over saturated. The store was selling them as bog plants. They loved the sun and did not seem to grow as well in a shady part of the yard.

It does look like a rain lily (the genus is Zephyranthes, there are a number of different selections). It is a hardy bulb.

I have these too and was told they are Fairy Lilies - they are so beautifully petite and dainty.
