Recycled Area Rug

The color of our area rug didn't go with our bedding so I flipped it over and stenciled the back.

OHHHHHHH MY GOSH!!! You are just too too too much!!! I have two area rugs just about that size and I wanted to put one in family room but of course they don't match, blend or otherwise coordinate in any way w/the colors I have - BUT I NOW KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO FIX THAT!! I'll check out your blog and if I need additional instruction I'll bet I can find you!!'

    I can't believe I never thought of that - I've stenciled everything else I could find. . . . ...»

.but I needed you for fresh inspiration. Thanks Miss Doodles ; ~)

I'd really appreciate a little more enthusiasm, Susan! :D Any questions, just let me know. This had a fabric backing, by the way.

Well....I went to costco.. got 10 36"x46" area carpets. Just laid them down the hall. I got extra just in case, because they dont really go with the ones I have on the floor entry way right now. I had to buy so many because area rugs at costco are there one day and gone the next! You gotta be fast. Good quality and very affordable too.But Iam still thinkingonit.

Wow, that's a lot of rugs! I often wish I had bought extras of things when I realize how much I like them, then can't find them any more- that happens mostly with shoes for me! :)

Actually I havent totally decided; they look a little busy to me , having so many..I guess I like them because of the many colors involved. Then last night we had an aha moment, WHY didnt we keep enough leftovers to run the new beige down the hall, on top of the floor, maybe bind or glue it in some way and add nonslip stuff under. Good gravy, from one problem to another. But I dont think we have enough.I got a beige area carpet from costco just a few days earlier, had decided I really ...»
like it and of course when I got back, they were all gone. They even had runners for 10 dollars! 4 ft, but that's ok! good quality! aarrgghh. I am spending MORE time on area carpets than on the original carpet purchase! I have other things to do with my energy! What nrg I have!

1 in front of each chair in living room, those down the hall, and they dont really match the ones in the entry way either!

Lighting makes them not look the same, the one in the hall is more true color.

What do you think? too busy?

Those are really pretty rugs- I like all the different colors, and they look like they coordinate really well with the rug that has a pattern of squares. I'm just curious- why do you want to cover your wood floors going down the hallway?
