Vintage Gas Station Map Desk

This desk was given to me by a friend. The desk needed some updating and my Son needed a new one so it was a perfect fit. After some discussions with my almost 8 year old, we decided to go with a red, white and blue color scheme. I painted the desk with Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan in Napoleonic Blue, Old White and Emperor's Silk. I hand painted the circle and the letter after tracing the shapes. The entire desk was coated in a combination of Annie Sloan soft wax in clear and dark. On the shelves and drawer I decoupaged vintage gas station maps. The last and final update was changing up the outdated drawer hardware with brushed nickel library pulls.
