FIND OF THE WEEK - Which fabric?

We found these beautiful vintage chairs and I am so thrilled. I've been looking for the right fabric for the chairs and I shortlisted 4 of my best fabric finds.

My favorite is A - Angel Wings!

Which one is yours?

The Icat or a Solid. I just think you'll lose the 60's lines if the pattern is too busy.

A because this would go with anything. You can change to just about any color without having to do the chairs again...

This is a 60s chair with similar lines that we redid in a solid gray tweed. Where your other wingback chairs look fabulous with patterns, the clean lines of this era of chair do not lend itself well to patterns. Use your beautiful patterned fabrics as pillows instead and consider a solid for this chair.

C - will realy make them look current! The other patterns are too linear for the curves of the chair. It is all personal taste, but i would certainly pick C!

Chaircycle - had to go to your member page to see if it was you that used Fabric B a couple of weeks ago - and it was!! I loved that fabric on that particular chair because the chair was big enough to handle the pattern.

I think on these smaller chairs and because of the uniformity of the pattern I'm feeling A. here!! C is pretty but the drop pattern might be a real bear to get matched - plus it's difficult to ...»

tell what the true scale is here.

I think solid black welting would be awesome on these!! - if you go w/A fabric, that is. As to E - no no no!! Wait a minute, what happened to "D" - does your alphabet in Ga. not have that letter? LOL

A or C. Add pops of color with pillows or coordinating footstool.

I like "A" but "D" is more vintage. Good luck and let us see the finished chairs

Thank you for all the replies. C got most votes. I am still stuck on A with the black welting suggested by Susan. I am going to buy a yard of A and C and try a pin up before I decide.

You should see the AFTER Soon!!

Ok its a year later judging by the posts. Leslie D's thoughts on solid material and using a pattern for pillows makes a lot of sense to me. So.....What did you decide to do?
