I am thrilled to share the roses that my rose bush produced this year. I have never had such success.

The other bushes died.

My grandfather on my mom's side was a Rose garden Guru...He had dozens of different kinds. This was back when I lived in Michigan, one of my favorite pastimes was running about smelling all of the different kinds.

How exciting - I'm so happy for you!! (and jealous) UMMMMM, I can smell the fragrance!!

A couple of years ago I ordered 2 yellow climbing roses and had these visions of them climbing up each side of the arbor where we planted them, eventually meeting at the top and cascading all over!! Well, first of all they turned out to be PINK and only one bloomed. The following year they were dead! Bummer.

One of my favorite things is to have fresh cut flowers in the house. I have a dream of having a rose garden, however all but one bush died. I did not do anything different this year, I fertilized as always. This plant is now 4 years old, more mature, the bugs are not bad yet, and it has not been too hot, also we have had good rain. Thank you for your support. I spoke with Erica about a fragrant, lovely rose & I will have to order it. This one does not spell, but I am happy to have it.KMS, I see a gentle side showing through! LOL

Lee Anne, your roses are so beautiful and I'm sure they smell wonderful too. I find roses hard to care for so I bought Knockout roses for their lack of diseases and drought tolerence. They don't have much of a rose smell but they bloom all year long.

@Lee Anne - that's what I told KMS!! He posted a picture of an orchid he'd gotten for his Sweetie and I said something about his "softer side" LOL - and he THINKS we're not on to him!!!
